» Twilight: Jane or Rosaline Cullen? HELP!?

I'm going to a Breaking Dawn party and so far everyone I've seen is going as Bella. I want to go as either Jane or Rosaline. For Jane I have a dark cape, knee high boots, a black vest, shirt, and red tie that goes around your neck, but it's not a neck tie that guys wear. You never actually know her outfit so I figure the floor long cape can hide the rest of the clothes. Rosaline is a long haired girl and I think I could pull her off as well. For her I have a florrlength dress thats all black. At the top it has a silver design that ends in a "v" at the waist. It has a full bottom.(My mother would never let me go in a skin tight one) I also have a vivid red dress thats kne length and a spagetti strap black knee high. I'm...... - 2010-03-14

I saw a lot of that last season... just like i'm seeing now... ☺its not over... and I even think the Gunners can get a result at Chelsea next week... The positive side is we only turn up for the big games and Chelsea is a big game so we will play!! !!!!IF!!! we buy in January we could turn it around...but if we dont its not the end of the world, its the panicking thats making it worseIf you mean the press then they're just headhunting aren&#...... - 2010-03-14

» Has anyone ever dealt with a horse with a broken rib?

Yes, the horse you see in my avatar had one four-years-ago. Someone drove by our house and shot him in the side. The Vet did an ultra sound and found the bullet lodged between two ribs. One was broken. The said it would be more dangerous to remove the bullet than to leave it there. So it is still there. So we had to deal with not only a broken rib, but some idiot that decided to shoot our horse. He is healed now, but it was certainly an experience. We were on all four news channels, and offered a reward for information on who did it, but we never found out who it was. There really is nothing that you can do for a broken rib except be patient, and give it time to heal. Best of luck to you.I did, many years ago. Never found out how she did i...... - 2010-03-14

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/02/080227164121.htm While the research is an early step toward a better vaccine, the findings from Mark Sangster, a professor of microbiology, track a little-understood immune system cell's response to an influenza infection and reveal new information about where it is most concentrated in the body. By analyzing the formation of the cells, known as memory B cells, Sangster and his colleagues may better understand how to stimulate their production by vaccination. "When we see how these cells are formed in response to a full-on infection of the flu, we get a picture of the gold standard of the immune response and protection," said Sangster, who co-authored the paper with graduate student Hye Mee...... - 2010-03-14

» Moderating New Members - # of links in first post?

I'm trying to find moderation options for new users, but so far have been unsuccessful. Are there options to put new members in moderation queues? All I found so far was "vBulletin Options -> User Registration Options -> Moderate New Members", which is simply a turn on/off feature, which really doesn't provide much flexibility for the system. Ideally, what I am looking for is if the users first post contains >X amount of links, then place them in moderation queue. This would help tremendously to reduce the amount of spammers that get through the registration process, at the same time allow legit users to still register and post right away without having to wait to be moderated. If this feature isn't available, how feasible is it to be in...... - 2010-03-14

    » AI vs Non-AI??

I really love my new Nikon FE2, but desperately want a new lens. The Soligor 24-80 isn't too bad, but the zoom function has trouble holding a constant focal length. So I'm looking into getting some Nikkor primes, but am confused about the Nikon system. I'm a Pentax guy and have gotten used to their K-mount system so never really had to worry about compatibility. Nikon's got me stumped. I wikipediaed the camera and lens, but got lost somewhere in this whole AI or non AI deal. And the Nikonian site lists a bunch of lenses and body combos, but not the FE2. So, in short, can anyone tell me what kind of lens mount/AI/non AI deal I should look for? Oh, and while I'm at it, what's with the little metal 'tab' that sticks up off ...... - 2010-03-14

» Patent law: experimental use defense

In a recent patent infringement case, Madey v. Duke University, the court did not support Duke's experimental use defense. Read a one page brief here: http://www.law.umaryland.edu/pdf_files/lsung/2002/021004.pdf The experimental use defense protects the use of patented technology by third parties "...for amusement, to satisfy idle curiousity, or for strictly philosophical inquiry." (This protection, it seems, is similar in spirit to the Fair Use provisions in law.) My question: If the Duke case represents a non-example of experimental use, what are some cases that describe legitimate experimental uses? Agora Gallery presents the Solo exhibition The Enigmatic Existence, featuring Japanese artist Toshiko Nishikawa. Toshiko Nishikawafs mixed medium artworks are playful abstractions employing pastels and whites, the mood of which represents her worldview. Her works brim with innocence and positivity, instantly disarming the viewer. gIfve been on a journey,h she states. gA journey in search of eternal beauty.h Indeed, there is a timeless, organic quality to Nishikawafs art as streaks of white haze flow downward or across muted pastel backgrounds. » advice on canon wide angle lens

I'm looking to purchase an inexpensive Canon wide angle lens. I read a fairly positive article on the Canon EF 20-35mm lens with zoom. I would be ever so grateful for any feedback on this lens, or advice on any other. with thanks, Kathleeninexpensive and wide angle to me always sounds like a considerable compromise. but I might be mistaken. keep in mind that 20 mm on a crop sensor is not really very wide.Exactly how wide are you looking at? More than the 17-55 stock? If so its the EF-S 10-22. Not inexpensive though. Converts to 16-35 on the crop sensor as opposed to the 26-56 you were inquiring about.Tokina and Sigma do nice UWA lenses cheaper than the Canon 10-22.Sigma 10-22...my uncle has it and loves it.As mentioned, the camera that y...... - 2010-03-14

    » Canon 50mm primes

So, I have decided to invest in one of these. Canon 50mm f/1.8 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/12142-USA/Canon_2514A002_Normal_EF_50mm_f_1_8.html Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=12140&is=USA See, my original plan was to go with the 1.8 after it caught my eye; it's a real cheap lens with good ratings, and something that I'd get a load of use out of. But now I have discovered the 1.4, which costs almost 300 bucks and has USM. Now... who can tell me how big of a difference there is between the two? Obviously there is a price difference, but is that simply due to the USM and extra .4 to min aperture? Is there a noticeable difference in quality? Or would I get a bigger bang...... - 2010-03-14

I need the accurate guitar chords for the song "City Boy" by Keb Mo. Any key will suffice. The basic chords are as follows: Verses: G-Bm-C Chorus: G-D/F#-Em-D-C-G-(C*-G) Bridge: D-D/F#-G-C-G- D-D/F#-Em-D-A-D The song is finger picked and has some very active left hand work as well. The chords are all barre chords...here are the chord fingerings from low E to high E G: 355433 Bm: x2443x C: x35553*** (alternates with x35533) D/F#: 2x0230 Em: 07998x D: x5777x The one other thing is between the chorus and the verse, they always hang on the G and play the C for one strum and then back to G. I have that marked in parentheses. This is the basic structure. I would listen to it while you play the chords and you'll ...... - 2010-03-14

I'm not so thin nowadays but I observed that small pimples starts showing in my face. My father told me to wash 2-3 times a day. Also he said that puberty, adolescence and genetics can be a part too. My father had pimples once. but now, he doesn't have anymore. And I don't want to use cleansers or any medical ointment because I'm still young and It dries up the skin really fast. » ******* pimples suck????

will dabbing my clean and clear 10% continuoue acne cleaser on each indivual pimple heal them fast?no no jus leav them alone cause if you put that on them theyl dry up and turn into scabs which take even longer to fall off (and also if they fall off theyl form scars, and the fall of easily like even in the shower) so for now just wash ur face twice a day and use toner and moisturize and it will be gone in a week 12 days at most yes it will. every dayI'd use calomine lotion(the pink stuff you put on itches!) on it! It dries the pimple out and it will heal faster. My dad used to do this when he was a teenager(he's 53 now) and he swears by it! Hope I helped!!!...... - 2010-03-14

I understand how I can get a for my photos and images. When sending copies of photos and digital images to potential buyers, do you send a notice along with the photos/images? Is that enought to protect the images you've sent? Also, for those of you who have web sites, how do you protect the images on the web site from being copied or downloaded? It's probably a good idea to include a notice. Many people do not understand intellectual property. My website images have a max dimension of 500 pixels, so hopefully that would limit the print size to 2" or less. Muehsam, M.D. Special to The Epoch Times This four-part series describes how the mind can keep us well or make us sick, and offers tools for harnessing this power. Part I: What We Can Learn From the Scientists and Mystics What distinguishes Western allopathic medicine, based on the pharmacological treatment of diagnoses, from all other healing traditions are two key concepts: the separation of mind and body and the notion that nature can be explained materialistically. On the other hand, every non-allopathic healing tradition recognizes the inextricable link between psyche and soma. "Dis-ease" is not limited to the physical body; thoug...... - 2010-03-14

Although reports have suggested that the Bordeaux player has already agreed a £5m move to Stamford Bridge, Tottenham are said to be interested after missing out on Senegalese midfielder Papa Bouba Diop. Interesting, just as long as we sign a decent box-to-box ballwinner then I'll be happy. I don't rate Smertin, so Chelski can have him as their token Russian player. As for Diop, he's good, but probably not quite what we need as he's a bit more attacking, We shall see.I seem to have news on everything in this forum ;) Th...... - 2010-03-14

Whats the best/ worst name you've ever heard for a soccer/football team? For me the worst was a team I was invited to play with, they were called the Flying Cows. I didn't know at the time and they sucked. So I left them after one season. I don't really have a favorite name United always does well as does Enforcers. "Soccer is not about life or death, but something more"I played against this club team called the Fireballs, such a cliche name if you ask me. What made it worse was that their jerseys were bright pink with little red and white fireballs on them. What is the dimension of the largest square that will fit in a 6' circle?Hello. The dimensions of the square will be 4.2426" by 4.2426" (i.e., 18 square inches). If the circle has a diameter of 6", then the diagonal of the largest inscribed square will also be 6". The inscribed square may be looked at as two right triangles with 6" hypotenuse. Of course, the Pythagorean theorem tells us that the squares of the sides of a right triangle must add up to the square of the hypotenuse. Here, the hypotenuse is 6", so the square of the hypotenuse is 36. 2a^2=36 a^2 = 18 a = square root of 18 = 4.2426 The dimensions of the square and the circle here are the same as in this problem on mathforum.org: The Circle and The Square htt...... - 2010-03-14

    » K&Cs wedding - part one

this was my first wedding, and all in all i think it went very well (better than I expected, to be honest). Preparations at the bride's house got off to a late start because her car broke down, and then the makeup artist did a horrible job on the bride. I was thankful for my background in makeup and skincare, because the bride's sister and I ended up redoing her makeup! Aside from that, things went very smoothly.
